Information for schools

The Dutch Adolescent Panel on Democratic Values (DAPDV) is a research project by the Dutch Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, ProDemos, the Netherlands Institute for Social Research, and the University of Amsterdam. In this project, we aim to monitor the development of democratic values among adolescents. We also seek to gain insight into the role that schools (can) play in shaping these democratic values.

To investigate this, we administer questionnaires in schools. Your school plays a central role in this, because without your school's participation, we would lack the necessary knowledge for improving citizenship education in the Netherlands. If your school participates in our research project, we will provide you with insights into the development of democratic values among your own students. We would be happy to further inform you about this.
